Taking advantage of the news-thirsty internet media, Citroen is slowly revealing new bits and pieces of its MINI rivaling DS Inside hatch that will be called DS3 when it enters production during the first quarter of 2010. Although the premium hatchback made its world debut as a thinly disguised concept at the 2009 Geneva Show in March, this is the first time that we get a chance to see the car’s interior which is for the most part, production ready. The French automaker has yet to release details, but it is clear from the photos that the designers have tried to give the DS3′s interior a contemporary and upscale feel.

Highlights include the two-tone leather sports seats, a neat instrument panel with three deeply-dished instrument dials, the flat bottomed three spoke steering wheel and the decorative chrome trim. Following in the footsteps of MINI, Citroen will offer DS3 buyers the chance to customize the interior with various individual options.
The DS3 that will not replace the C3 in Citroen’s range, will be offered with a variety of four cylinder gasoline and diesel engines including the BMW and PSA Peugeot-Citroen developed 1.6-liter petrol unit in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms.

Unlike many other hybrids, though, the Camry Hybrid offers relatively brisk acceleration, meaning you dont necessarily have to sacrifice performance for good fuel economy.

    Like the regular Camry, the hybrid is a perfectly pleasant midsize sedan — equipped similarly to the top, XLE Camry trim level. A similarly refined hybrid sedan, the Ford Fusion Hybrid, outpaced it in 2009 (as an early 2010 model) with 41/36 mpg, as do new hybrid versions of the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima (35/40 mpg), for considerably less money. More efficient versions of the hybrid and non-hybrid are all but a certainty.



    Granted, Camry Hybrid mileage doesnt live up to that of other new hybrids, but its still better than a non-hybrid. If youre shopping for a regular Camry and find a discounted hybrid, why not take it?

    Also note that the Camry is unique among Toyota hybrids in that its city mileage is lower than its highway mileage, giving the Fusion an even greater advantage.



    The Camry Hybrids reliability has been above average, while the Fusion Hybrids has been top-rated. The specifications dont show everything youd sacrifice by buying the outgoing Camry Hybrid. The Ford, Hyundai and Kia hybrids have full-color, high-resolution LCD instead.

Nevertheless, the gang at Mansory has had time to put their own spin on the idea, and it shows in the detail shots.In addition to the body mods, the Chopster gets a number of performance upgrades, including boosted braking power with some enormous 420mm rotors up front and 375mm units in the rear. That much braking power might seem like overkill, but the pizza-pan rotors will barely look normal inside the massive 23x11in wheels - and the Cayenne is a big vehicle, after all.Plus, once you get the 710hp (522kW) turbocharged V8 under the hood wound up, you might just be glad for all that stopping power. Once its back under control, however, 665lb-ft (900Nm) of torque will kick the show back into high gear in no time.


    The interior gets any number of totally customizable elements as well, with the show car sporting a refrigerator, DVD player, internet-enabled laptop, head-rest monitor screens and more.     We’ve been told to expect to get our first glimpse of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March, but a few photos of the German two-door may have leaked out ahead of time. The images you see above were sourced up by the team at GMotors. From what we can tell, the vehicle in the stylized photos lines up pretty well with the spy photos we’ve seen of the 2012 C-Class Coupe so far, which leads us to believe that this may actually be the real deal. If so, the new coupe will wear the new beak of its updated four-door compatriots.
    That includes the new slightly restyled front fascia. Interestingly enough, this particular set of photos ditches the quad fog lights we saw in the spy photos in favor of LED units. we’d say that seems like a fairly reasonable change given the popularity of the diodes in automotive design at the moment. Word is that this particular machine will get the same rash of engines as the sedan, meaning that buyers can expect to get their hands on either a 3.0-liter V6 with 228 horsepower or a 3.5-liter six-pot with 268 ponies. The question is, will we get an entry-level four-cylinder model like the 2012 C-Class sedan? Something tells us we’ll know a little more as we get closer to Geneva.

    If “Carozzeria Touring Superleggera’s” prime objective was to impress us with the two unique vehicles that they presented at the Concorso d’Eleganza classic car show, then we’re obliged to say that they succeeded.     Moreover, the transformation of the Quattroporte into a fastback did not have any serious impact on the overall weight as according to Carozzeria Touring, the Fastback weighs a mere 50 kg / 110 lbs more than the sedan.

    Equipped with the same 400 Hp 4.2-liter V8 engine as the sedan, the Bellagio Fastback Touring manages to go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 sec and on to a top speed of 275 km/h or 171 mph – same exact figures as the Quattroporte sedan.
    So it’s beautiful, practical and fast, but will they build it? Yes, Carozzeria Touring officially announced that the Bellagio Fastback Touring will be produced in a limited edition run. Customers will be able to further personalize the Bellagio with different colours, interiors, materials and extras. According to the Italian coachbuilder “prices will be identical or even lower than equivalent sportscars” – whatever that means…

    The Durangos V-6 mileage estimates slightly trail those of its competitors. The Traverse gets 17/24 mpg or 16/23 mpg with front- or all-wheel drive, respectively, and the Explorer gets 17/25 mpg or 17/23 mpg. Meanwhile, the front-wheel-drive Mazda CX-9 is rated 17/24 mpg, while the all-wheel-drive model gets 16/22 mpg. When properly equipped, the V-6 Durango can tow up to 6,200 pounds — significantly more than the Traverse (5,200 pounds), Explorer (5,000 pounds) or CX-9 (3,500 pounds).

    Standard safety features include side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags for all three rows, antilock brakes, an electronic stability system, and trailer-sway control.

    All signs may be pointing to ever steeper gas prices by the end of the year, but according to Bloomberg, that may not be enough to stop Volkswagen from unleashing a new wave of SUVs (or more than likely, CUVs) on the American market. VW head honcho Jonathan Browning has been quoted as saying that the company wants to expand its portfolio of compact SUVs in short order, and that eventually, there may be room for growth in the larger SUV market as well. Of all the vehicles sold in the U.S. last year, SUVs and crossovers made up 29 percent of the mix.
    As of right now, Volkswagen only offers two utility vehicles in the States – the compact Tiguan crossover, which, according to Bloomberg, sold 20,946 units last year and the larger Touareg SUV. Volkswagen only managed to move 4,713 Touareg models in the U.S. in 2010, but the new model (shown above) is expected to help the line’s fortunes. The company’s planned expansion of its SUV offerings is part of a larger offensive designed to net the company U.S. sales of one million vehicles by 2018. Doing so would mean tripling the company’s current sales, so the automaker is invested in exploring new ways to bring buyers to the showroom.
